Construction Engineering and Inspection

Construction, Engineering & Inspection (CE&I) services help to ensure that projects are completed according to contract specifications, not only those treating the specific details and quality of construction work, but with those defining its timeliness and cost.  Such services help to promote and maintain the quality of project work and the integrity and economy of project expenditures.  On the client’s behalf, our certified inspection personnel monitor the quality and quantities in construction activities, review schedules of value and their application, document the project work performed, monitor and evaluate site conditions, review payment requisitions, monitor construction schedules and work to ensure that the project progresses in accordance with them, and protect the safety of the general public and all those who work on the project.  ZUVIC construction Inspectors hold, collectively, a combination of NICET, NETTCP, OSHA, ACI and ATSSA certifications; and Professional Engineering Licenses.

ZUVIC has provided construction services for both transportation and infrastructure projects.  Through our host of top professionals -- including our resident engineers, construction survey crews, special inspectors, and peer reviewers -- ZUVIC has the professional resources to oversee construction programs ranging from simple rehabilitations to the construction of complex public facilities.

  • Roadway Inspection

    ZUVIC’s construction inspection professionals perform all aspects of construction administration and inspection services. From pre-construction meetings through project closeout reports, our team works closely with owners, designers, and Design-Build teams to ensure cost control and on-time project delivery. Our team members are familiar with contract drawings, specifications, quantity estimates, and cost estimates prepared in accordance with applicable CTDOT and AASHTO design standards and regulatory agency approvals, and administering projects in accordance with the CT DOT Construction Manual.

  • Site and Facility Inspection

    ZUVIC’s construction inspection team provides clients with the tools they need to keep their projects on track. Our experienced staff provides construction inspection services for all types of projects. From design development through project closeout, we work as a part of an integrated team, providing cost-effective and functional solutions. We carefully plan and tailor the scope for each assignment specifically for our clients and their project needs.

  • Utility Inspection

    ZUVIC’s utility construction inspection professionals support regional water and wastewater authorities through all aspects of construction. From pre-construction meetings through project closeout reports, our team works closely with owners, designers, and Design-Build teams to ensure cost control and on-time project delivery. Our team members are familiar with contract drawings, specifications, quantity estimates, and cost estimates prepared in accordance with applicable MDC, Aquarion and AWWA design and construction standards.

  • Environmental Oversight

    ZUVIC’ s environmental inspection professionals perform all aspects of environmental oversight and inspection. From Phase I, II & III remediation to soil sampling and water testing. Our team members familiar with contract drawings, specifications, remedial action plans, cost estimates and environmental standards.

MDC Contract 5

ZUVIC joined AECOM in performing daily inspections of one of MDC’s Clean Water Projects. The project adds new drainage and sewer to areas of West Hartford and Hartford Connecticut. The projected consisted of inspecting drainage, roadway, micro-tunneling, site work and utilities.

Wickham Hill Water-Main

ZUVIC performed inspections of water main and meter replacements in East Hartford, CT for The MDC. The project involved installation of a new water main, removing and replacing over 200 water meters.

North Stonington Solar Farm

ZUVIC is performing erosion and sediment control inspections on a solar farm project in North Stonington, CT. There are multiple acres of land that is protected by silt fence and filter socks and weekly inspections are performed to ensure proper upkeep of the site. Recommendations are made to the contractor as need to provide assistance on erosion control measures.
